A Day at the Farm!...

...Or a day the farm came to the library!  

We had sheep, pigs, chickens AND A TURKEN!

Turkens are a breed of chicken that lacks feathers on its neck.  

It's also known as a Transylvanian Naked Neck Chicken.

 We also had a truck farm.  This traveling vegetable garden gives kids the opportunity to see how plants grow.  The root systems could be seen through the back of the truck.  

Garden Cupcakes Program

The children decorated their own cupakes 

to look like a vegetable garden.
