It’s Never Too Early!

Learning to read begins before children start school.  From the time they are infants, children learn language and other important skills that will help them learn to read.   You can help your child get ready to read with a few simple activities such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

After-School Story Time!

Come to the library after school for a story and craft.

Kindles for Kids

The Children's Department has Kindle Fires preloaded with games for kids.  These may be borrowed for up to an hour.  Parent permission is required.

 

 

Don't Forget Your Certificate!

If you participated in the Summer Reading Program and read at least 7 books, your reading certificate is waiting for you!  If you haven't yet picked yours up, it's not too late.  Just stop by the Children's Reference Desk.  

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month!

Everyone from Birth to Adult should have their own library card.  Sign up today and take advantage of all your library has to offer.
